Overview Amylu Foods is seeking an experienced Category & Promotions Manager to play a critical role in the development and execution of our business objectives. This role, working closely with Marketing and Sales, is responsible for analyzing point-of-sale scan, promotion, and consumer panel data. This role will develop fact-based, actionable insights for the team and assist in data presentations and reports that lead to better assortment and merchandising decisions. The analyst will be responsible for implementing processes and procedures for best-in-class data reporting. This role also supports category management and shelf validation tasks on an ad-hoc basis. This position is open for a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week in our Chicago office and 2 days from home. Responsibilities Prep, cleanse and integrate multiple data sources for a complete analysis. Produce routine data reports and trackers to ensure strategies and objectives are integrated into sales and marketing team program execution. Communicate information to support sales teams with new item launches, marketing campaigns, and internal routines on a weekly/monthly basis, providing actionable insights for the team to implement. Develop data reporting cadence and execute on an ongoing basis. Assist in sales category business review meeting prep to develop a strong selling story custom to each retailer. Curate compelling visual support charts that tell our brand growth and opportunity story. Track and analyze promotion execution for category and provide actionable insights to sales and marketing team. Understand how to analyze sales lift by retailer and track performance, providing insight on future promotion plans. Utilize shopper panel data to assist the marketing team in program and message planning. Required Skills & Abilities Experience with POS and panel data. Experience with brand health tracking. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound problem-solving abilities, analytic, and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time. Knowledge of and experience using data reporting tools and tactics. Knowledge of Nielsen, SPINS, Circana/IRI platforms and data sets. Ability to mine and clean data for easy end user consumption, with the ability to effectively convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences. Proven strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills. Must be a self-starter and have a curious mindset. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. 3+ years of experience in data analysis with a preference for sales and marketing analytics. Category insights experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. Strong analytical skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, Advanced formulas), data modeling & reporting, PowerPoint, Tableau and other Third-party software. Syndicated scan and panel data analysis (Nielsen, SPINS, Circana).
