Video Production/Graphics Director Intern

Begins: May

Responsibilities

Preseason:

Complete league mandated testing which provides the knowledge and ensures the understanding of proper use of equipment, specific shots and framing for game use. As well as timing for pregame show, graphics, commercial breaks, and postgame show.

Hands-on training to practice correct usage of equipment and software.

In Season:

Pregame: Responsible for proper set up of broadcast stream, including graphics, commercials, and pregame shows. Co-produce pregame show, assist in editing pregame show. Participate in pregame meetings to discuss potential improvements from previous games. Participate in a communications check. Check in with broadcast announcers to ensure sound is balanced and for any specific talking points they may need graphics for during the pregame show and during the game. Start the broadcast stream on time. Edit player headshot photos to league standards and upload them to the website.

Game time: Ensure the pregame show starts on time. Run livestream to the best of your ability. Actively listen to ensure sound from the ballpark and announcers is balanced on the stream. Co-produce game, actively listen to directions from the camera director to ensure timing of shots and graphics is accurate. Put in proper graphics and run commercials at correct times. Show replays when appropriate. Pull highlights for Northwoods League, local news channels, and team use. Co-produce postgame show.

Postgame: Correctly upload all highlight clips to Dropbox to ensure that it is able to be used for future pregame shows or promotional videos. Properly shut down equipment so it is ready for the next person to use it. Participate in postgame meetings to discuss ideas and potential improvements for future games.

Qualifications
•Actively pursuing a degree or career in graphic design, video production, communications or related field
•Experience in video editing, live media graphic creation, and windows operating systems required
•Excellent communication and listening skills
•Organized and have a keen eye for detail
•Basic knowledge of baseball preferred
