We're seeking a Media Monetization Manager. Retail media is one of the fastest growing media platforms. The Mars Agency is a retail commerce partner that helps retailers monetize and connect brands to customers in a meaningful way.

Why do we need you?

The Media Monetization Manager will be responsible for defining, managing, and executing strategies to maximize the monetization of our retail media networks. This role will drive product commercialization efforts, ensuring that our offerings are competitive, innovative, and meet the evolving needs of our advertisers and partners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the retail media landscape, advertising solutions, and product development.

The future vision, shape and value of our retail media networks will be built by the monetization team and this specific role.

The successful candidate will be comfortable bridging our Retail partners' business needs to deliver a comprehensive product roll out that includes extensive detail on pricing, capabilities, booking instructions, media delivery, measurement, etc. This candidate will also develop impactful sales materials that can be used to drive demand and revenue for these new offerings.

What will you do?

Help build and monetize new products and offerings for retail media.

  • Monetization Strategy: Develop and implement effective monetization strategies for our retail media network, ensuring consistent revenue growth and optimization.
  • Product Commercialization: Oversee the commercial launch of new media products and solutions, ensuring they meet market demands and are positioned for success.
  • Market Analysis: Regularly analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and advertiser needs to inform product development and pricing strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of monetization and commercialization strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with key advertisers, partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing feedback.
  • Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics related to media monetization and product commercialization. Make data-driven recommendations for future strategies.
  • Innovation: Continuously seek innovative solutions and opportunities within the retail media space to differentiate our network and drive revenue.
  • Training: Provide training and support to sales and customer service teams on new products and offerings.
  • Support sales with positioning, messaging and materials to monetize
  • Become the subject matter expert (SME) for the Retailer offerings
  • Manage project status, workflow, deliverables and timelines. Ensure stakeholders deliverables are on schedule and raise concerns for any delays
  • Organize, document & communicate project materials and status
  • Coordinate and participate in strategic client business reviews


What are we looking for?
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role with increasing responsibility
  • Experience in display advertising media, ad operations or sales is an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially with MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Project management, business writing and presentation development
  • Client facing client management and meeting planning experience
  • A positive attitude and strong initiative
  • Ability to build and analyze report and make recommendations
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability in managing multiple tasks

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $85,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
