The Alaska Club is seeking an in-house Web Specialist to join a fun and creative team. This is NOT a remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of public facing and internal web sites; mobile apps; online registration forms; analytics and related functions. 1-2 years' work experience in web design and/or development. Proficiency in HTML/XHTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office required. In addition to web design, the Webmaster should be able to work well in a team, collaborating with managers, designers, writers, etc. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical skills and a good understanding of creative online marketing.

Other specific duties include:

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating websites for a variety of brands in using the following formats:
    • HubSpot
    • Word Press
    • Dreamweaver
    • Square Space and more
  • Knowledge of web security to implement and ensure website security and data protection
  • Maintaining, updating, and optimizing servers
  • Monitoring and analyzing site performance
  • Online marketing, SEO and Google analytics skills in order to update website content and improve and manage SEO
  • Conceptualizing and implementing design solutions that meet brand standards and marketing strategies
  • Working knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
  • Knowledge of website management tools
  • Specific knowledge of InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Adhering to production deadlines
  • Managing multiple projects of varying complexities, while working in a fast paced environment

Required experience:

  • Web development, experienced in programming languages and operating systems
  • Graphic design experience preferred
  • Good computer skills
  • Good communication skills, proofreading and attention to detail, particularly with technical documentation
  • Creative, flexible and motivated

Required education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
