Service Writer Equipment Job at Vineyard and Winery Equipment in Paso Robles

ABOUT US:

We're an Equipment manufacture working around Ag and Winery equipment. We are looking for an individual that’s proficient in various computer software tools, be highly efficient, organized and must be willing to work in an environment that is fast paced with set delivery schedules.

JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

• Works with Service Manager on repair orders, collecting notes from technicians, closing out Repair orders
• Warranty processing, for our own brand and other partnering brands we work with
• Must have a general technical understanding of machine operating principles for mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic systems.
• Customer service, in service-related calls, scheduling service appointments, maintaining an organized calendar schedule
• Facilitate deadlines on new equipment delivery, understand equipment options
• Must be proficient with a computer and various software including, Excel spreadsheet, word processing, Adobe, and database programs.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Experienced in the automotive service industry or industry equivalent.
• Familiarity with heavy truck engines, agriculture and vehicle product lines is desirable.
• Extremely well organized and must be extremely detailed oriented.
• "High visibility" position--must have expert communication and computer skills and the ability to effectively work with internal and external customers.
• Can multi-task and be flexible to work when “peak” volume periods are encountered.
• Must be able to work to established program schedules, provide reports, and coordinate with global suppliers on an as-needed basis.

Experience:

• Technical Writing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Products: 2 year (Required)
• Working in a shop environment: 2-4  years (preferred)
