Responsibilities

1. Deliver High-Impact Stories: Investigate, write, and produce well-researched, compelling, and legally sound consumer-focused lines across print and video.
2. Break Exclusive News: Identify trends and issues that resonate with readers while driving high levels of traffic.
3. Lead Coverage: Shape The US Sun's consumer reporting strategy and set benchmarks for quality and impact.
4. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with visuals, analytics, and social media teams to maximize the reach of your stories.
5. Engage with Readers: Utilize analytics to build trust and relevance with audiences.

Required Skills

1. Experienced Journalist: A proven track record in consumer or news reporting, ideally with 2+ years in a newsroom environment.
2. Creative Storyteller: Adept at writing stories that inform, captivate, and inspire action in a tabloid style.
3. Tech-Savvy Professional: Comfortable using tools such as WordPress, analytics platforms, and social media to enhance reporting.
4. Trend Spotter: Passionate about identifying and amplifying issues that matter most to consumers.
5. Legally Authorized: Able to work in the US and based in NYC or willing to relocate.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience in social video would be beneficial.
