The Role.

As a Vice President, you will be reporting to the Executive Vice President (EVP), and will be responsible for supporting the EVP and Senior Staff in all aspects of our client service work, including communications, campaign management, research, and analysis. In particular, you will be responsible for work related to communications, partnerships, policy, and business development including

  • Supporting communications, policy and business development campaigns and events on behalf of clients.
  • Preparing preliminary drafts of campaign materials, including proposals, pitches and decks with guidance from the EVP and other team members.
  • Conducting regulatory, procurement and industry research for clients, campaigns, and prospective clients, at the direction of the EVP and Senior Vice Presidents.
  • Analyzing and synthesizing legislation, policy, contracts and spending at the federal, state, and local levels. Interfacing directly with the team to keep them informed of progress, to report on findings, and to prepare for meetings.
  • Presenting clearly and effectively in client-facing settings.
  • Monitoring and tracking regulatory action, industry trends, current events, competitor actions and other activity that may impact the campaign’s objectives.
  • Devising innovative ways for our clients and their senior leaders to build their reputation in their industry and beyond through earned and social media, conferences, podcasts, newsletters, and TV opportunities. Maximizing media opportunities by thinking creatively and considering every potential angle and media channel.
  • Drafting and editing content including op-eds, testimony, speeches, and press releases.
  • Assisting with new business and business partnerships proposals by putting together creative ideas and tactics.
  • Supporting grassroots activations by mapping constituency groups, securing partnerships, building digital and promoting content, and more.
  • Coordinating and executing a range of activities, including conferences and campaign events, for the client under the guidance of the EVP and Senior Staff.
  • Assisting with overflow as needed and/or special projects as assigned by the EVP and/or Senior Staff.

What we look for from you.

  • At least 4 years of experience at a public affairs agency, in-house, in government, and/or on political or issue advocacy campaigns. Also open to candidates with experience in public relations.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and under tight deadlines.
  • Great interpersonal skills and all around interesting, dynamic person who loves a challenge.
  • Familiarity with political and new media landscape.
  • Strong research skills, with a focus on regulatory and legislative matters.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $110,000 and $140,000/year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business need.
