Senior Software Engineer, athenaCollector – Authorization Management

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Authorization Management team.
Our primary business goal is to create seamless processes for medical practices needing to obtain authorizations from insurance companies.
As a team member, you will play a crucial role in:
- Developing new 3rd party integrations following the emerging industry electronic standards.
- Enhancing the existing backend workflows through the introduction of AI and ML.
- Maintaining and enhancing the existing frontend UI.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications with appropriate detail. Lead design and development on an agile team of Engineers, a Scrum Master, a Product Owner, and Experience Designer.
- Collaborate, mentor, and advise team members to promote productivity and effectiveness; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
- Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert. Take ownership of what the team builds and oversee efforts across the team to ensure completion.
- Work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate effectively with Product and Technology teams.
- Focus on delivering high-quality code.
- Focus on meeting customer needs and expectations.
Typical Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with significant software engineering skills and computer science experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Bootcamp, or equivalent work experience.
- Solid knowledge of standard Java/Spring Boot tech stack.
- Knowledge of React or similar front-end tech stack.
- Experience in microservice design and implementation.
- Cloud experience, AWS preferred.
- Understanding of IaaC/DevOps/Terraform is a plus.
- AI/ML experience is a plus.
- FHIR/DaVinci exposure is a plus.
