The Position Graphic Designer - Fashion Location Chicago, IL (On-site) Overview: AKIRA is looking for an experienced graphic designer to lead the conceptual development and design of creative media in support of our online store. The Graphic Designer will design digital commerce marketing assets for all of AKIRA digital channels (email, website, fliers, coupons, events, social media, etc.). This individual will produce and maintain daily marketing design updates based on marketing planning calendars. If you love fashion marketing and design, apply now! **All resumes MUST include portfolios to be considered Essential Functions: Manage projects from concept through production (newsletters/mailers, coupons, website asset design, social media, store signage, and more) Actively participate in concept and design of brand collateral for AKIRA Maintain an intimate understanding of the AKIRA brand and customer and stay up-to-date on industry trends and other retail brands Work closely with the marketing team, catalog stylist, and photographers Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive brand experience across all channels Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field required 2+ years experience in Graphic Design, preferably within marketing/retail Strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects/deadlines at once Strong understanding of typography and layout Self-motivated, strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Strong knowledge: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Some understanding of HTML Shopify experience a plus Diversity & Inclusion: At AKIRA we believe that treating everyone in a first-class manner is essential to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects our values and our community.
