Job Title: Inventor DesignerJob Description
We are seeking a talented Inventor Designer to model parts and equipment for substations, transmission, or renewable energy for prefabrication. In this role, you will work with the Utility VDC coordination team to create 3D models of substations, transmission, and renewable energy projects. You will also help prepare fabrication and installation drawings for construction and generate installation drawings for use by field and prefabrication personnel. This position offers a great opportunity to start a long-term rewarding career in HV and Substation design, with a path towards becoming a VDC Utility Coordinator.
Responsibilities

Model parts and equipment for substations, transmission, or renewable energy for prefabrication.

Collaborate with the Utility VDC coordination team to create 3D models of substations, transmission, and renewable energy projects.

Assist in preparing fabrication and installation drawings for construction.

Generate installation drawings for use by field and prefabrication personnel.

Work towards becoming a VDC Utility Coordinator.
Essential Skills
-
1+ year of experience with Inventor design of parts and assemblies preferred.

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.

Experience in 3D modeling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
High School Diploma.
-
Prior utility experience preferred.

Experience with SolidWorks, Drafting, Mechanical design, and Mechanical drafting.

Experience using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks or construction experience in High Voltage Substation/Transmission/Distribution, Renewable Energy, or related fields.

1-2 years of experience with Autodesk, Inventor, or SolidWorks is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret design or construction documents preferred.
Work Environment
This position is 100% in-office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $72000.00
