If you believe you're right for the job, this is the place to prove it!Medical Writer Job SummaryThe Medical Grant Writer (Oncology) at Physicians' Education Resource (PER®) assists in the development of grants proposals for CME/CE educational initiatives, including writing gap analyses, learning objectives, agendas or lines of content, and needs assessments/literature reviews. The writer will work with the Educational Strategy team, Medical Directors and other members of the Medical Affairs team in the development of the content-related elements of CME/CE-certified educational grants and initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain knowledge in various oncology therapeutic areas as assignedDevelop/write/review/edit program agendas, gap analyses, learning objectives, outcomes summaries and needs assessments for inclusion in educational grant proposalsProvide assignments and feedback/guidance to freelance medical writersIdentify areas of improvement in the grant development process and work with the Educational Strategy team to implement theseStay updated with trends in educational grant development and apply those where relevantWork with the Educational Strategy and Medical Affairs to innovate program formatsEnsure that all ACCME and related regulatory guidelines are implemented where requiredPerform other duties, tasks, and/or functions as assignedComply with Company SOPsQualificationsAn advanced degree (eg, PhD, MS, RN, MD, PharmD) is preferred3 or more years' prior experience in oncology medical writing, preferably with experience in continuing education grants and contentExcellent researching and writing skillsAble to translate complex scientific information into practical communicationsDeep knowledge of AMA styleExcellent communication skills (written & verbal in English)Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (eg, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Deadline driven, results-oriented, accurate, and analyticalSelf-motivated and able to work independently, with input/guidance from BD, strategy and medical affairs team membersHighly organizedAbility to manage multiple projects and conflicting prioritiesThrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentHighly results- and service-orientedPhysical requirements and work environmentMinimal travel (
