An acoustic solutions designer & distributor located in Chicago is looking to add a Rhino Designer to their team!
Job Description:
Develop drawings and documentation through the lifecycle of projects from Design to Engineering
Designers have shared ownership of projects from assignment through install
Communicate schedule and project needs to the Design Manager (DM) to ensure accurate loading and scheduling
Follow best practices in digital housekeeping of project files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and organization
Verify product layout and use, communicating with the various project and process leads to ensure accuracy
Develop custom design solutions and products for custom and boutique projects in tandem with the DM
Validate through prototyping all proposed custom solutions and their feasibility for mass manufacture
Involved in client meetings to discuss feedback and maintain product requirements
Package the complete product specification for Design, Engineering, and Production
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture
2+ years of professional experience in a commercial based architecture/design firm
Design (rendering, layouts, interior design) and construction document experience (specifically reflective ceiling plans)
Experience working in Rhino professionally; familiarity with Grasshopper and AutoCAD/Revit
Digital fabrication experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.37 - $32.69
