Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer. You will work closely with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs. You will also apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.

Responsibilities:

As an Instructional Designer, you will have a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:

1. Working with subject matter experts to identify target audience's learning needs. 2. Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer. 3. Setting instructional end goals and creating content that matches them. 4. Visualizing instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product. 5. Conducting instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts. 6. Applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods. 7. Providing exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. 8. Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc). 9. Deciding on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments. 10. Maintaining project documentation and course folders.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Instructional Designer position will have the following qualifications:

1. Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology. 2. Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. 3. Lesson and curriculum planning skills. 4. Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System. 5. Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard. 6. Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts. 7. BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar. 8. 5+ years of experience with Adobe Captivate. 9. Excellent communication and project management skills. 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 11. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
