The Content Marketing Specialist is a vital part of our expanding marketing team, responsible for shaping Premier Credit Union’s creative and consistent brand voice. This role focuses on developing compelling, strategic, and impactful content that enhances our brand, drives member engagement and lead generation, strengthens sales communication, and supports organizational growth. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position will work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to produce content that educates, informs, and inspires.
The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic storyteller with a proven ability to craft diverse content types, develop thought leadership materials, and articulate compelling value propositions. They possess a data-driven mindset, exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, and a passion for creating member-centric content that resonates and delivers measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content framework aligned with the credit union’s evolving brand, mission, and marketing goals.
- Create thought leadership content to position the credit union as an industry leader.
- Develop product marketing content, including crafting clear and compelling value propositions that highlight the benefits and unique features of our products and services.
- Create content themes based on key brand pillars, ensuring consistency and alignment with marketing initiatives.
- Conduct audience research to understand demographics, interests, and challenges to inform targeted content creation.
- Review and proofread content to ensure high-quality, error-free deliverables.
Content Calendar Management:
- Develop and manage a content calendar and library featuring a mix of blog posts, articles, website landing pages, newsletters, press releases, social media content, videos, infographics, email campaigns, sales enablement, and more.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to produce high-quality, engaging content.
Collaboration and Brand Alignment:
- Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to support campaign initiatives by crafting compelling content that enhances digital experiences, SEO, and omni-channel efforts.
- Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator to promote events, community initiatives, and key campaigns.
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Sales, FCT and stakeholders to effectively convey key product, sales, and wealth management offerings.
- Maintain brand voice and messaging consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
Data-Driven Insights and Measurement:
- Establish KPIs to measure content effectiveness and track ROI.
- Use data analytics to evaluate content performance, identify trends, and refine strategies to maximize impact.
- Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Identify new, innovative, and creative content opportunities based on emerging member needs, competitive analysis, and industry trends.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related role.
- Expertise in Google Analytics, Salesforce and/or HubSpot, and SEO best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 and project management software.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience conducting audience research and developing data-informed content strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt strategies based on performance data.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred, not required:
- Background in financial services, a plus.
- Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma experience preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
This position operates in a hybrid and professional office environment. Occasional travel to branch or CUSO locations, or industry events, may be required. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
