We are looking for a dynamic and highly organized professional to spearhead sponsorship initiatives and support integrated marketing campaigns for TEGNA stations in Jacksonville and Tampa. This role blends strategic partnership development with multi-media marketing expertise to drive business results and strengthen client relationships.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless activations and bolster sales efforts through effective campaign strategy, execution, and performance tracking. Focused on creating value-driven partnerships and delivering measurable outcomes, this position is crucial to driving growth and success across our platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sponsorship initiatives in collaboration with sales leadership, targeting sponsors aligned with the company’s brand, events, and programming.
- Design tailored sponsorship packages, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate opportunities, deliverables, and value propositions.
- Collaborate with marketing, community, content, and sales teams to integrate sponsorships into initiatives and ensure successful activation.
- Utilize market research to stay informed on industry trends and identify new sponsorship opportunities targeting key demographics and market areas.
- Track sponsorship revenue goals, monitor performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Deliver post-event and post-campaign reports with performance metrics to build trust and maintain long-term sponsor relationships.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Account Executives, leveraging in-depth knowledge of TEGNA’s products and solutions to support advertiser interactions.
- Assist Jacksonville and Tampa sales teams with pre-sale activities, including client research, inventory management, and sales presentations.
- Develop client-focused sales presentations by organizing tactics for integrated media campaigns.
- Facilitate smooth transitions post-sale by coordinating with internal teams, including Account Executives, Marketing, and News.
- Regularly analyze audience delivery using Comscore ratings and digital metrics, creating recap presentations to demonstrate campaign success to clients.
- Coordinate with Account Managers to set up new customer accounts, manage contracts, and handle revisions.
- Manage program ratings estimates, ensuring inventory and rate cards are up to date.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to stay informed on products, services, and processes.
- Stay current on TEGNA’s product offerings, including broadcast, OTT, and audience-targeted display and video, to make informed client recommendations.
- Prepare attribution reports for OTT and linear TV campaigns, synthesizing data into actionable presentations.
- Solve problems and make decisions independently to support the Jacksonville and Tampa sales teams effectively.
- Organize and manage campaign details for multiple team members and accounts using tools like Salesforce, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Cross-train with Account Manager and Digital Account Manager roles to gain a comprehensive understanding of sales operations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or marketing.
- 4+ years of experience in a pre-sale solution role, preferably within the advertising/media industry or sponsorship management.
- Position based in Jacksonville at the WTLV/WJXX station.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organization and time management abilities.
- Proficient in building presentations with extensive knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with CRM software.
- Familiarity with media ratings (Comscore).
- Problem solver with multitasking abilities.
- Exhibits strong communication and relationship skills.
- 30% travel between markets may be required, with additional travel as needed.
