We are currently seeking a Music & Movement Lead to join our growing team and take our music programs to the next level.

Position Overview:

The Music & Movement Lead will play a key role in expanding and delivering our beloved music and movement programs to local preschools and families. This is an autonomous, flexible position that combines creative freedom with the opportunity to build lasting partnerships in the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music, teaching, and working with children, as well as the ability to create strong relationships with local schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead music and movement classes at local preschools and schools, traveling to different locations within the community.
• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music programs that foster creativity and physical activity in children.
• Build and maintain relationships with preschool administrators, teachers, and families.
• Create your own schedule and contract with schools based on their needs and availability.
• Work with Spirited Sprout’s team to offer music classes to families and children in our space.
• Collaborate with the Spirited Sprout team to continue to grow and refine our music program offerings.
• Maintain an organized system for scheduling and communication with schools and parents.
• Flexibility to work outside of a traditional 9-5 schedule, creating your own work-life balance.

Requirements:

• Experience in teaching or leading music and movement programs for children (preschool age preferred).
• Strong knowledge of music theory, movement, and child development.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and school staff.
• Passion for creating positive relationships and enriching the lives of children through music.
• Must be comfortable traveling to different locations (reliable transportation required).
• Background check and references required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certification in music, education, early childhood development, or a related field.
• Experience with music and movement programs in schools or childcare settings.
• Previous experience in community-based programming.
