Russell Tobin is hiring: Radio Frequency Test Engineer in Sunnyvale

The Scientific Team with Russell Tobin & Associates is hiring an RF Test Engineer to support our client based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

Required top skills:

1. Frequency Range Expertise (600 MHz to 6 GHz): The candidate should have experience working with RF equipment that operates in this frequency range.
2. Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, etc.: Familiarity with a range of RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers (to analyze signal power), signal generators (for creating RF signals), network analyzers (for analyzing networks), load-pull tuners (for adjusting impedance), and oscilloscopes (for signal visualization).
3. Running Long Characterization Efforts
4. Experience in Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Matlab is helpful for automating tasks, debugging test scripts, and analyzing data. (Not Mandatory)

Contract Details:

- 9 months contract with the potential for an extension.

- Pay: $65/ hr to $70/ hr.

- Schedule: Onsite (Sunnyvale building PA01). The role is 20-40 hours/week depending on project workload. This will vary based on when new hardware is available. For example, the role could be 40 hours per week for a number of months, but then when revisions come through the schedule could shift and only 20 hours of work could be available.
