About The Role

We are seeking a Video Technician / V2 in the East Williamsburg/Bushwick area as we are looking to scale up our video department to host more complex productions. We hope for the person in this position to grow and learn together with us.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute installs and setups of video wall components
  • Interface with the Artist/Client Production team on run of shows
  • Perform LED wall setup and calibration
  • Implement design ideas and solutions during on-site setup and rehearsals
  • Ensure safe and consistent operation of video equipment, rigging tools, and instruments
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair for all video inventory, equipment, and cables.
  • Assist in an organized system for handling day to day tasks and operations within the venue

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years relevant video experience in a wide variety of event venues
  • Extensive LED video wall setup and install experience
  • Content management experience
  • Ability to pay attention, adapt to changes, and function well in a live production setting
  • Exceptional communication skills with internal teams, artists' and clients' teams and vendors
  • Extensive knowledge of setup and maintenance of Unilumin video tiles
  • Required proficiency in the Google Workspace suite, and its applications such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Drive- including Shared Drives, and Google Groups for seamless team communication.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and possible holidays
  • Must be willing to work outdoors (all seasons)
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable climbing ladders and being in lifts
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment with moderate to loud noise level

Compensation

The hourly rate/yearly salary for this position will range from $30/hr - $40/hr based on experience.
