Rambler Sparkling Water is looking for a Social Media Creative Director to join on a contract basis from March 1st through October 31st, 2025. This role will lead the company’s social media efforts and work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer to create and execute inspiring and playful content that aligns with the brand and is designed for digital platforms such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube. Daily responsibilities for this role will include content ideation, staying up to date on social media trends, monitoring all social media profiles to determine engagement and developing social media campaign ideas for new product launches and other events throughout the year. The primary duty of the Social Media Creative Director is to develop, write, art direct and produce content that includes photos and videos. To be successful in this role, you must be able to keep pace in a highly fluid, ever-changing, collaborative workplace. You must also have an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills and possess a deep understanding of the digital space. The role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer, and actively collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders in Brand, Digital, Partnerships, Activations and Sales. Rambler Sparkling Water is headquartered in Austin, TX. Qualified candidates can work on-site or remote. This is a contract position with an anticipated duration of 8 months. You will be considered an independent contractor and will be responsible for your own taxes and benefits. Work will be performed primarily remotely with flexibility in your schedule. KEY ATTRIBUTES This role will lead the company’s social media efforts and work closely with our Chief Marketing Officer to create and execute inspiring and playful content that aligns with the brand and is designed for digital platforms such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube. Develop creative and engaging content that aligns with the company’s objectives and target audience. Write clear, compelling copy that reflects brand voice and values. Work directly with the social media strategist who manages the editorial calendar, social content production, scheduling content, and quality assurance. Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop original, channel-specific content, art direct external content creators, and execute marketing campaigns on our social media channels, ensuring content and brand consistency. Create meaningful engagement and consistent conversation on social media through relevant and educational content which continues to resonate with our highly engaged audience. Build community and brand advocacy through engagement and interaction. Identify whitespace opportunities to elevate & define distinct roles for content on each social platform to build brand equity. Collaborate with the paid digital team to help identify and leverage any paid social media opportunities. Be on the pulse of social trends, competitive landscape, Gen Z culture and new social platforms to bring new ideas to the forefront. Create a comprehensive social media brand guidelines book for all stakeholders to reference, adhere to and apply in all social media and influencer efforts. Maintain brand integrity and compliance with content produced. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field required. 6+ years of experience within the content creation digital space or equivalent work experience. Strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail and grammar with a strong portfolio. Thorough knowledge of the social media marketing industry, strategies, and tactics. Ability to assist in development of strategic social marketing plans. Deep experience and knowledge on social platforms. Flexibility to adapt to feedback and changing priorities. Knowledge of copyright laws and intellectual property laws. Proven experience in measuring, recapping ROI and replicating best practice conversion tactics. Analytical skills, CPG experience, or social media certifications are a plus such as Meta Social or Meta Blueprint, TikTok Academy, YouTube Certified.
