Key job responsibilities

Lead end-to-end UX design for generative AI features and products, from conceptualization through implementation. Conduct comprehensive user research to deeply understand user needs, pain points, and opportunities in AI-driven interactions. Perform user testing and usability studies to validate and iterate on design approaches. Develop innovative design solutions that translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, seamless user experiences. Create detailed interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications that guide cross-functional product development. Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, science, and research teams to align design vision with technical feasibility. Contribute to the design system and design language that ensure consistency across AI product experiences. Mentor junior designers and contribute to evolving our design practice and methodologies. Advocate for user-centered design principles in AI product strategy and development. Develop design artifacts that clearly communicate design rationale and potential impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Have an available online portfolio - 8+ years of design experience - Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps - Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar - Experience in designing and scaling products for generative AI and AI-driven experiences, combining deep understanding of emerging interaction paradigms with technical insight into AI/ML capabilities and constraints Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
