THE ROLE:

  • As a Mechanical Designer, you'll collaborate across teams to develop innovative mechanical components for game-changing products. Your work will shape designs that are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective, bringing bold ideas to life through prototyping and testing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical components for robotic mowers, working with cross-functional teams
  • Use SolidWorks to create 3D models and manufacturing drawings
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost-efficiency
  • Participate in design reviews, offering actionable insights to improve product designs
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure successful prototyping, testing, and production
  • Assemble prototypes and conduct rigorous testing of mechanical and electrical systems, documenting results
  • Operate and test commercial mowing equipment after proper training
  • Maintain engineering documentation and create user-facing technical materials

 
WHO YOU ARE:

Key Requirements:

  • Associate degree in engineering, mechanical design, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant design experience
  • Expertise in designing and detailing sheet metal components, weldments, and assemblies
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics and perform basic calculations
  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools for prototype assembly and testing
  • Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with outdoor power equipment, robotics, or construction machinery is a plus
