Job Summary/Purposes
The PR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the PR strategy and initiatives for the Miu Miu Americas Region. This role involves coordinating media relations, organizing events, crafting press materials, and collaborating with our internal and HQ teams to ensure the delivery of cohesive communication efforts that are in line with Headquarters and the overall brand strategy.
Responsibilities
Collection Management and Sample Trafficking
- Manage the organization, tracking, and shipping of RTW, accessory, and footwear collections for editorial shoots, influencer projects, and events.
- Ensure timely delivery and return of samples, maintaining a detailed inventory to prevent loss or damage.
- Collaborate with logistics, stockroom, and global teams to prioritize sample allocations.
Media Relations
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with fashion editors, journalists, and influencers.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate interview requests to effectively promote brand narratives.
Influencer Relations
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influencers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to amplify brand reach.
- Collaborate on influencer seeding campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand values and objectives.
- Track and evaluate influencer partnerships to optimize future collaborations.
Press Materials
- Distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials that align with brand messaging and standards.
- Ensure all communications are accurate, timely, and reflect the brand's voice and ethos.
Event Coordination
- Coordinate logistics, guest lists, and media attendance for retail and image events, runway shows, and activations, ensuring they align with brand objectives.
Media Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor media coverage and compile weekly, seasonal, and project-specific reports to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Analyze media metrics and provide actionable insights to improve future initiatives.
Administrative Support
- Maintain and update media contact databases, press clippings, and PR records.
- Organize and archive campaigns, product knowledge documents, event images, look books, press kits, and coverage reports.
- Submit invoices and other administrative tasks.
- Complete monthly and seasonal competitive editorial credit reports, tracking loans versus actual coverage.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications preferred
- Prior internship or professional experience working for a media company, global fashion house, or PR Firm
- Strong organizational skills with multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; with an advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and tools
- Existing relationships with fashion media and influencers preferred
- Experience in event planning and execution within the fashion industry preferred
- Expertise in communication strategies, sample trafficking, and PR reporting
- Flexibility to work nights and or weekends upon business needs
- Ability to travel as required (domestically and internationally).
The annual salary range for this position may vary from $65,000 - $75,000, and if applicable, may be eligible for bonuses and other incentive opportunities. The rate of pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
