BlueHalo has an opportunity available for a Technical Writer, specializing in technical report preparation and test results documentation, to join our team working on Base at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. Our team conducts research and development in laser/materials interaction, particularly studying high temperature response in representative environments. The Technical Writer will support the development and submission of scientific research reports documenting the results of these interactions. Reports may include technical summaries of R&D activities on a quarterly basis or the reporting of test results from interaction experiments. Technical presentation and accuracy will be required along with a professional presentation style.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and documenting scientific research reports
- Working with the testing staff to obtain requirements and results.
- Collecting and distributing relevant notices and documents
- Managing reporting related schedules, logs, and archives
- Creating reporting templates, drafts, checklists, and online applications
- Ensuring the report submissions are complete and accurate.
- This position is working with government contracts and requires U.S. Citizenship
- Must have or be able to obtain/retain a SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field. Secondary training in language arts or writing a plus.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience in some form of technical documentation.
- Able to edit highly technical documents on different topics from various authors with different writing styles.
- Good communication skills to interface with wide variety of internal and external individuals
- Organized to keep multiple concurrent reports on track.
- Flexible to manage competing and fluctuating demands
- Strong Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills
