We're looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer to join our team and act as a connection between our customers and technicians.
Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Writer is responsible for providing excellent customer service by understanding customers automotive needs, communicating appropriate services, and coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance with the service team. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to build trust with customers to ensure a positive experience. Hours are 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs in a friendly, professional manner.
- Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues, and recommend appropriate services and repairs.
- Prepare and present accurate repair estimates, including labor and parts costs.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure customer concerns are addressed properly.
- Schedule service appointments and maintain an organized workflow.
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles, including any changes in repair timelines or costs.
- Review completed repairs with customers and explain any services performed.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of all services, customer interactions, and invoices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in a customer service or automotive role, such as Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repair processes, and maintenance services.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software, including scheduling and invoicing programs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:
This position offers an hourly wage of $18$22, depending on experience (DOE) and qualifications.
