Description:
As Director of Media Services, you’ll be the strategic architect behind high-impact, measurable, full-funnel marketing programs that drive client success. This role goes beyond tactical execution—you're setting the vision, informed by deep expertise in media planning, consumer research, and advanced measurement. Leveraging tools like MRI Simmons, SEMrush, and Nielsen, you’ll craft data-driven strategies and present bold, transformative recommendations to C-suite stakeholders. You’ll lead with innovation, inspire high-performing teams, and ensure seamless collaboration across media, creative, measurement, and strategy. Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic success for a diverse portfolio of clients, with a focus on delivering high-impact, full-funnel marketing strategies.
  • Manage key executive-level client relationships, ensuring visibility and transparency across opportunities and challenges, particularly when addressing the C-suite.
  • Leads development and presentation of annual strategic visions informed by consumer insights, media research, and advanced measurement techniques.
  • Facilitate seamless, integrated delivery across strategy, media, measurement/analytics and creative, ensuring all stakeholders are working toward the same client goals.
  • Leverage tools such as MRI Simmons, SEMrush, Sensor Tower, Nielsen, and other platforms to inform strategy and drive business results.
  • Apply advanced measurement methodologies (e.g., incrementality testing, media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution) to enhance media planning and optimize campaigns.
  • Anticipate and address client issues with strategic solutions, demonstrating sound judgment and collaborating with executive leadership when necessary.
  • Act as a strategic leader within New Engen, driving innovation and staying attuned to industry, consumer, and competitive trends.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for Associate Directors and Senior Managers, while fostering growth among individual contributors.
  • Oversee P&L management within book of business, including spend/revenue forecasting, margin optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of contracts and SOWs, actively seeking upsell opportunities and managing renewals to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging media trends to position clients ahead of the curve.
  • Champion collaboration and prioritize the health of the team and business.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in media strategy, media planning, and client services, with a proven record of cross-channel expertise and strategic leadership. Channel/platform expertise required (combination of paid search, paid social, programmatic)
  • Experience leveraging consumer research and tools such as MRI Simmons, Nielsen, or similar platforms to craft data-informed strategies.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with the ability to navigate client P&L discussions and translate financial insights into actionable strategies, including engaging effectively with CFOs and other finance executives
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing $100M+ marketing budgets, P&L responsibilities, and resource allocation at scale.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams of 10+ members; 
  • 5+ years of formal people management experience required.
  • Strong strategic vision and communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Familiarity with advanced measurement frameworks, such as incrementality testing, media mix modeling, and multi-touch attribution, and their integration into media strategies.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation, growth, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 
The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
