PROPOSAL WRITER & MARKETING ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Proposal Writer & Marketing Assistant must strive to complete simultaneous tasks on time to assist in the procurement of future work for the company. This role will have a strong focus on writing content and will assist with other tasks as needed in the development of proposals and statement of qualifications (SOQs), also including but not limited to, a multitude of various marketing tasks. This employee must be able to work both independently and within a team environment and manage the proposal and marketing team. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, professional, flexible, and be able to optimize their workload schedule to manage multiple deadlines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in the SOQ/Proposal process:
- Pull narratives/re-write as applicable, or write new content as needed.
- Create graphics, tables, etc.
- Assist in determining style and layout/look of proposal.
- Review and edit, and format proposal documents as needed.
- Bid Assistance - Provide bid assistance in whatever form needed, typically in pulling projects to meet criteria, or providing narrative or graphics, tables etc. as needed.
- PowerPoint Presentations - Assist in the creation and maintenance of presentations for Standard SOQs and specific presentations for divisions, owner meetings, trade shows, career fairs, employee ownership meetings, etc.
- Non-solicited Owner meeting packets - Assist other employees in creation of non-solicited customized information packets for various owner meetings.
- Brochures - Assist in the design and creation of general company brochure, company statistics flyer, and divisional brochures, technical summary sheets, and more.
- Intranet (Reynolds Resource Center):
- Post and manage content on home page
- Manage the content on the Marketing tab.
- Update the monthly company intranet header photo
- Update the monthly Roaming R photos and flyer for the company
- Website - Update company website as needed (examples include leadership bios, project information, pictures, etc.)
- Roaming R Program - Update flyer and route to company
- Other Marketing Media - Assist in the design, creation and maintenance of various other corporate marketing and proposal media including presentations, flyers, folders, advertisements, project awards, banners for ground breakings, project close-outs, career fairs, and more.
- Press Releases as needed - Coordinate the receipt, formatting and transmitting of press release information to internal and external resources as required.
- Design and coordinate the creation of framed projects prints for the corporate office - If local employee
- Business Cards - Assist with design over time, and order as needed
- Company Wall Calendar - Design, create, order and distribute annually
- Holiday/Christmas E-Cards - Design and create the company electronic Christmas/Holiday card, route lists to department heads for update, and send to final distribution list.
- Holiday/Christmas Committee - Participate in the committee- If local employee.
- Employee Appreciation Committee - Participate in the committee
- Event Coordinator Assistance - Assist in coordination of company functions/meals/celebrations/gatherings such as retirements, annual Employee Appreciation luncheons, and annual Christmas luncheons.
- Assist with Facility Decorating as needed (Christmas and other events) - including creating the décor and/or procuring
- Assist with program planning and coordination of various company initiatives - These functions may include but are not limited to employee appreciation and engagement.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Marketing and Proposal
- Must have 3 years experience of writing background. Proposal technical writing a plus.
- Marketing background a plus
- Must have 2+ years proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be proficient in Adobe
- Either fully remote or hybrid work environment with 3 days in Orleans, IN corporate office and 2 days remote.
- Must complete and pass a pre‐employment drug & alcohol screen
- Display a professional and courteous attitude at all times
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Ability to work overtime when required
