We’re looking for a part-time Back-End Developer to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the technology behind Thursday.
About the Role
This is a part-time remote role (10–15 hours per week) with opportunities for growth as the company scales. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic of the application, ensuring seamless integration with front-end elements, and optimizing the app’s performance.
Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain scalable back-end systems using modern frameworks and tools. • Design and implement robust APIs to integrate with front-end systems and external services. • Optimize database architecture and server performance. • Integrate payment systems (e.g., Stripe, CashApp, Venmo). • Ensure server-side security and database optimization. • Collaborate with the product and front-end teams to ensure seamless functionality.
What We’re Looking For
✅ 2+ years of experience in back-end web development. ✅ Proficiency in Golang, Gin, and GORM frameworks (or similar back-end tools). ✅ Strong understanding of RESTful API design and database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). ✅ Familiarity with version control tools like Git. ✅ Bonus: Experience with payment systems, cloud platforms (AWS), and inventory/order tracking systems. ✅ Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
