The A/V Lead Installer provides installation and integration services for pre-designed audio-visual solutions, as well as provides support for established A/V systems (approximately 90% travel in-state/adjoining state).

The successful candidate will have experience in:

Leading the installation of medium to large scale installed A/V solutions.

  • Leading the installation of multi-room single-campus A/V solutions.
  • Following prescribed designs to realize the end-product from the provided design/proposal package, scope of work, and customer-centric drawings, independently.
  • Managing and maintaining standards adherence, quality, and safety of jobs.
  • Managing and maintaining job inventory, equipment, project consumables, as well as personnel hours.
  • Installing major control/integrated switching vendors such as Crestron, Kramer, AMX, and Extron.
  • Installing major audio systems vendors such as Shure, Biamp, QSC, and others.
  • Installing major display, video wall, and projection system vendors such as Panasonic, NEC, Samsung, Epson, Planar, and others.
  • Installing major bent-metal and furniture providers such as Chief, Middle Atlantic, Spectrum, and others.
  • Experience with AV over IP, HDBaseT, Dante, AVB, and other industry standard transports.
  • Experience with installing conferencing (voice and video) systems, council chambers, and multi-room campus-wide systems.
  • Experience with wired and wireless microphone technologies, as well as permanently installations of these components.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years as an A/V Installer, with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • The AV installation experience should be installing commercial AV integrations, Home integrations are acceptable
  • Able to pass a background check at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Possess an exceptionally professional, clean-cut, look and demeanor, as the face of the company to the customer.
  • Infocomm certification; CTS minimum, CTS-I preferred.
  • Crestron certifications including DMC-E, DM-NVX, CTI-x, etc.
  • Biamp, Shure, Dante (Audinate), and/or QSC certifications.
  • Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, as well as major vendor endpoint (Panasonic, NEC, Samsung, Da-Lite) devices.
  • Experience with interpreting CAD packages.
  • Knowledge and experience terminating and maintaining AV connectors and cables (XLR, DVI, HDMI, 3.5mm, RCA, DB-9, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in modern networking standards; able to configure/design network switching, subnets, and systems.
  • Ability to work alone or with a team of diverse individuals.
  • Able to work within a strict time-frame and hard deadlines.
  • Able to travel 90% of the time (mostly in-state).
