The Photographer/Videographer position is located onsite at our corporate office in Elkhart, Indiana and will report to the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

Photography:

  1. Plan and execute product and lifestyle photoshoots to showcase the features, design, and quality of Conn Selmer musical instruments and products.
  2. Collaborate with marketing and design teams to understand visual requirements and objectives for each project.
  3. Edit and enhance images using Adobe Photoshop to ensure consistent, high-quality results and color accuracy.
  4. Retouch and optimize product images, ensuring they accurately represent product details, finish, and visual appeal.
  5. Organize and maintain a digital media library for all images, using designated software to efficiently manage assets.
  6. Maintain photography equipment, track inventory, and perform regular upkeep or coordinate repairs as necessary.
  7. Perform other tasks as needed.

Videography:

  1. Collaborate with project owners to create production plans, including concept development, location scouting, shot lists, scripts, and post-production edits.
  2. Shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video content for web, social media, events, and external use, using modern editing techniques and effects.
  3. Assemble drafts from raw footage, working with a shot list and script while ensuring brand consistency and creative direction.
  4. Manage project timelines independently, following SOPs, and ensuring on-time delivery of final video content.
  5. Handle set design, lighting, and audio/video setup to ensure professional-quality video production.
  6. Organize and maintain a digital media library for all video content, using designated software to efficiently manage assets.
  7. Actively propose new video projects, collaborating with the team to drive awareness, engagement, and sales.
  8. Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Strong background in both product studio and lifestyle photography, with proficiency in photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  3. Extensive experience with production and post-production video, including sound editing and using non-linear editing systems (Premiere, Final Cut X preferred).
  4. Proficient with camera support systems (sliders, gimbals), and professional lighting, grip, and audio equipment.
  5. Experience shooting video in a cinematic style.
  6. Excellent organizational skills to manage media assets and equipment inventory.
  7. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and follow creative direction.
  8. Previous experience in the music or creative industry is a plus.
  9. Expertise in advanced photo and video shooting and editing techniques, with demonstrated mastery of applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
  10. Proficiency with professional-level camera systems, lighting, and audio equipment to support high-quality production needs.
  11. Strong creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  12. Experience in the music industry or familiarity with musical instruments, particularly band and orchestra.
  13. Knowledge of trends in social media content creation and marketing strategies.
  14. Ability to sit for long periods and perform continuous walking on concrete.
  15. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  16. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions.
  17. Ability to perform tasks requiring finger dexterity, grasping, and visual acuity.
  18. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel to trade shows and events.
