The Content Strategy Manager Opportunity
The Content Strategy Manager will oversee the strategic planning, execution and optimization of content and SEO campaigns to drive measurable results for clients. This role combines leadership, content creation, SEO expertise and data-driven decision-making to ensure the success of client websites and campaigns.
The Content Strategy Manager will lead and empower a team of Content Strategists to deliver high-quality, SEO-optimized content, resolve technical issues and drive long-term growth for clients’ online presence.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with SEO best practices and company objectives.
- Set clear team goals and provide the tools and support necessary for success.
- Analyze industry trends, client needs and market research to inform content strategies.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity and ethical behavior.
Team Management:
- Manage and mentor a team of Content Strategists, providing frequent guidance and constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging ownership and empowerment.
- Provide training to enhance team members’ content creation, keyword research and technical SEO skills.
- Address performance issues through coaching and tailored support.
Content And SEO Strategy:
- Oversee the creation of SEO-optimized content that aligns with client goals, brand voice and audience needs.
- Ensure technical SEO tasks, including keyword research, site optimization and issue resolution, are completed effectively.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate content and SEO strategies into broader marketing campaigns.
- Monitor client websites, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Data-Driven Optimization:
- Track key performance metrics for campaigns, identifying areas for growth and refinement.
- Present regular performance reports, including actionable insights and recommendations.
Performance Reporting And Communication:
- Provide consistent updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on campaign progress and achievements.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment with goals and expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in content management, SEO or digital marketing, with a proven track record of driving measurable results.
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, technical SEO and content optimization.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and empower team members.
- Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills with attention to detail and adherence to style guidelines.
- Proficiency with SEO tools and content management systems.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently.
