Role: CAD Drafter/Designer
Location: Moon, PA, 15108
Duration: 12-month contract
Pay; $25-30/hr
Description: As a Mechanical CAD Design/Drafter, you will be responsible for creating technical drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will work closely with engineers to translate conceptual designs into detailed files. This person will Create 2D and 3D drawings and models based on specifications provided by engineers. They will also review and interpret rough sketches, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. The design/drafter will use CAD software to generate accurate and detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and structures & incorporate design changes and revisions as directed by project stakeholders. You will ensure drawings comply with industry standards and regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and optimize designs for manufacturability. This person will maintain organized file management and documentation of drawings and project files.
Desired Skills and Experience: Associate degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Design, Drafting, or related field Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD design and drafting Proficiency in Creo CAD software Familiarity with drafting standards & ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and specifications Pluses: 5+ YOE with Creo 3D modeling and rendering software Familiarity with mechanical design principals Certification in Creo CAD software or drafting
