We engage at all levels across the addiction treatment spectrum, interacting with governments, key opinion leaders, physicians, payers, patients, and patient advocacy groups to raise awareness and educate about addiction as a chronic, relapsing disease.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director / Director Media Relations and Public Affairs is a newly created role responsible for driving effective external communications, including branded corporate communications, non-branded disease state awareness campaigns, and public affairs efforts. This position will work closely with the entire global impact team and across business functions to develop and implement communications and content strategies that advance Indivior’s mission, vision, and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Media relations
Project management of corporate communications vehicles including annual report
Content strategy and development for external channels and audiences
Partnership with a range of internal teams and departments to support their communications needs
Management of communications and content agencies and contractors
Measurement of and reporting on performance of communications strategies and initiatives
Budget management and forecasting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 7-10 or more years of experience as a communications professional in a corporate setting or blended corporate and agency experience
At least two years in a communications leadership role
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in pharma or other highly regulated industry
Public company experience preferred
Experience in leveraging communications and media strategies and collaborating with public policy and government affairs colleagues
Experience in content development, corporate public positioning/branding, storytelling
Experience in media relations and a strong understanding of the media landscape, including digital and social media
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated expertise in leading complex communication activities
Experience in managing agencies and contractors
Experience in managing and forecasting budgets
