The Alexa Audio team at Amazon is looking for a highly motivated and talented candidate for the role of a Data Analyst. Proficiency in written and verbal English is a fundamental requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quality audits, identifying defects, and using available tools to make corrections. The candidate is also expected to use human judgement to make decisions on behalf of our customers. Strong qualitative research, quantitative analysis, communication skills, attention to detail; and a commitment to excellence are the required skill sets for this role.
Key job responsibilities
- Create new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and iterate on existing ones to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and decision-making skills during data audits, even in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information
- Create fixes for defects identified, and also use your expertise to approve or disapprove audit entries based on SOPs
- Create mechanisms to measure the impact of the audit mechanisms, and communicate on a periodic basis to the larger organization
- Analyze available data and leverage your experience to identify emerging trends and patterns, contributing valuable insights to strategic decision-making
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- 2+ years of experience auditing data and metrics to identify defects with high accuracy, and propose alternate solutions
- Ability to use web-based tools to make corrections to the defects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of analytics & statistical tools such as SAS, PowerBI, SQL & ETL DW concepts
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Datazen, SSRS
- Experience in back office operations, escalation management and troubleshooting environments
