  • Location: Chicago, IL

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/hour (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.)

Hours: 30 hrs/wk

Type: Contract to Hire (1099)

Remote Work: Partially (80%)

Travel: Not required

Job Responsibilities

Web Design and Maintenance (50% initially)

  • Conduct competitive analyses, usability studies, and other quantitative and qualitative research to create a web and digital strategy and roadmap.
  • Build a visually appealing, intuitive, and interactive website using Finalsite.
  • Implement usability principles to continually enhance the user experience.
  • Implement and utilize SEO best practices in design projects.
  • Apply data analysis skills to optimize design outcomes.
  • Utilize analytics to measure the success of design implementations.
  • Evaluate and modify the web strategy and roadmap on an annual basis implementing applicable changes.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school’s website, ensuring it is up-to-date, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
  • Develop and manage a system to manage website-related requests across the organization, coordinating timelines and deliverables.
  • Create, update, and adhere to a website style guide.
  • Monitor website performance using analytics tools, gather insights, and prepare reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously assess and enhance the website's user experience by conducting usability tests and incorporating feedback.
  • Support the integration and management of e-commerce functionalities, ensuring smooth transactions and secure payment gateways.
  • Address technical issues promptly, liaise with IT teams, and provide support to users experiencing difficulties on the website.

Digital Marketing (25% initially)

  • Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Utilize Google Ads to optimize online advertising campaigns.
  • Create visually appealing content.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Design graphics for digital assets and marketing materials.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to assess the success of campaigns.
  • Optimize conversion rates through effective strategies.
  • Analyze data to measure campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.

Social Media (25% initially)

  • Coordinate all aspects of our social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Develop and execute an effective social media strategy that aligns with the school’s identity and web and marketing objectives.
  • Develop compelling and relevant content for our social media channels, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  • Create visually appealing and shareable content that aligns with the school's tone, style, and messaging.
  • Update profiles, respond to messages and comments, and engage with our audience to build a strong online presence.
  • Identify trends, insights, and emerging platforms to maximize our reach and impact.
  • Monitor social media analytics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate regular reports to assess the success of campaigns.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Actively build and engage with our online community, initiate and participate in conversations, and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages meaningful interactions among our followers.
  • Stay up to date with current social media trends and relevant topics to leverage opportunities for engaging content creation and timely responses.
