POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Research Creative Suite is a global team responsible for creating dynamic audio, video and editorial marketing assets to amplify some of the 70,000 research reports annually in equities, fixed income, cross asset strategy and economics.
The Creative Suite creates long- and short-form editorial content, podcasts, short-form audio, episodic video series, mini-series, and webcasts for both institutional and retail clients. Members of the team engage daily with various stakeholders within Research including: Editorial, Research Analysts and Strategists and Economists. The team also engages with various divisions around the firm including Wealth Management, including E*TRADE, Institutional Securities and Firmwide Marketing and Corporate Communications.
We are seeking a Graphic Designer/Coordinator who will support time-sensitive project requests by working with a team of individuals across multiple time zones. Eligible candidates are experienced designers who want to gain project management experience and who have in-depth knowledge of MS Office, the Adobe suite and Stensul Marketing Platform. The position will involve creating design assets for Research reports, email campaign assets, photographic selection and editing and creation/design of web assets such as banners and display ads. Candidates will work as part of a global team, developing and implementing shared style guides.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and brings a strong sense of personal vision along with collaborative skills. The candidate should also be a passionate, big idea person who enjoys finding visually driven ways of explaining complex themes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude and team spirit for working alongside members of the Creative Suite.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing workflows and projects among local and offshore teams
- Creating and editing multi-page/multi-section documents, emails and web assets using templates and style sheets.
- Designing and creating assets for Research reports such as graphs, charts, and infographics.
- Creating onscreen and digital marketing assets for conferences.
- Designing marketing assets for our content and portal such as multimedia thumbnails, creating and maintaining collection pages and designing emails
- Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality, and a critical eye in terms of aesthetics
- Collaborating with team members on complex or special projects
- Coordinating workflow within the team, including prioritizing jobs and delegating duties to offshore teams
- Monitoring workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently, accurately and within deadlines
- Assessing incoming requests selecting the best resources for successful completion
- Assisting with monthly metrics and reporting
- May work with motion graphics and multimedia work
QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- At least 5 years of professional design experience
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Stensul Marketing Platform
- Experience with charting on Excel
- Solid design sense and awareness of current design trends
- Capable of translating complex data in a visually compelling way
- Expertise with brand standards and can work within well-established corporate guidelines
- Ability to make independent decisions and use problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Financial industry experience a plus
- Knowledge of Eidos Methode a plus
