You will be the Graphic Designer for our dynamic Visual Communications Team. Our team is responsible for bringing Lockheed Martin's brand to life through innovative and strategic visual storytelling across various mediums, including digital media, advertising, and event promotion.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for utilizing your creative expertise to develop dynamic visual elements for a wide portfolio of products and platforms, from motion graphics and kinetic typography to logos, advertising, and digital signage. You will work closely with clients to align their requests and goals with business strategy through various visual communications mediums. Your responsibilities will include:
•Designing and developing visual elements for digital media, advertising, and event promotion
•Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
•Partnering with clients to align their requests and goals with business strategy
•Staying up-to-date with current design trends and standards across multiple industries
•Collaborating with various visual communications disciplines to drive innovative solutions

Basic Qualifications

•Demonstrated experience and subject matter expert with a wide variety of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
•Experience partnering with a variety of clients to align client requests and goals to business strategy through a variety of visual communications mediums.
•Knowledgeable about current design trends and standards across multiple industries.
•Portfolio should be available for review.
•Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Desired skills

•Demonstrate an advanced understanding of basic design principles such as typography, composition, hierarchy, iconography etc.
•Advanced understanding of visual storytelling
•Experience pitching concepts to clients and ability to thoughtfully explain strategy influencing design decisions.
•Experience working in/with related visual communications job families: UX/UI, interactive media, photography, videography, animation, motion graphics
•Experience working collaboratively with a variety of traditional, digital, and visual communications disciplines
•Demonstrate ability to follow brand guidelines to reinforce and reflect the Lockheed Martin identity internally and externally with employees, customers and key stakeholders
•Ability to work under only general direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
•Experience with Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and other social media channels
•Ability to follow established Internal Agency Model, creative workflow and project management tools and procedures
•Ability to work under strict deadlines with competing priorities
•Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
•Ability to translate direction from clients into innovative and creative designs
•Ability to adapt to an evolving company culture
•Capable of balancing a project's creative requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations
•Ability to work occasionally outside normal business hours and weekends

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $67,200 - $128,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $77,300 - $145,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
