Do you have experience managing and executing brand socials and want to parlay that experience into a production career? As an Assistant Editor at Vitro, you’ll support the production workflow by filming and editing social media deliverables and supporting senior editors on broadcast/CTV projects. This role offers the chance to develop technical skills in Adobe Premiere and other tools while leading the charge on social-focused editorial work. Production at Vitro is a team sport. You will be able to learn technical skills from senior editors, have producers by your side to manage your time and resources, and work with our creative teams daily. What You Will Do Edit sequences for sound, color, VFX, and final delivery of marketing materials, including trailers and short-form social media content. Assist senior editors with editing tasks, such as overcutting reference media with high-resolution assets and assembling straight-lift clips. Organize and manage media, ensuring server organization, proper file management, and adherence to agency file management guidelines. Capture content on sets large and small as a B or C camera operator. Film social content addressing client needs and internal briefs. Troubleshoot technical issues in post-production workflows, including relinking offline media and resolving remote editing challenges. Locate, edit, and upload requested media or assets for new business pitches and presentations. Ingest and prep media from internal and external shoots, building organized project files with proxies attached. Collaborate with producers, editors, and creative leads to streamline social media workflows and troubleshoot processes for social retainers and one-off projects. Maintain high-quality standards across all projects, ensuring effective assets which serve the creative concepts. Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Premiere, with bonus skills in After Effects, Photoshop, and audio software. About You (Requirements) General understanding of editorial techniques, with a solid foundation in social media content creation and management. Baseline proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder, with bonus points for After Effects and Photoshop skills. Familiarity with server-based editorial systems, shared storage solutions, and asset management processes. Excellent organizational skills. Ambitious learner with a proactive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time. Collaborative team player who works well with producers, Sr. editors, technologists and creative partners. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a full-time position.
