Job Description
Geekplus is seeking PR Specialist to join its Americas marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining relationships with members of the press and local trade organizations; writing press releases and blog posts; traveling to events; and managing marketing relationships with our channel partners. The candidate must be a native-English speaker who is able to write quickly and on deadline. As we are looking to expand into Latin America, spoken and written Spanish skills are a plus.
Candidate must have a gregarious personalitynetworking skills are a must. You will be expected to attend events in the greater Atlanta area regularly, so owning your own transportation is mandatory. This job will also involve frequent blog writing and copy editing. If you enjoy taking complex information and delivering it to our audience in an easy-to-understand way, this job is for you. Having an interest in writing about robotic automation, industrial automation and supply chain will help you excel in this job.
Finally, Geekplus is a B2B robotics company that is rapidly increasing its network of channel partners. In this role, you will also manage marketing relationships with our partners, create co-marketing strategies and manage and deliver marketing assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Write and distribute press releases on numerous platforms
- Write, format and publish blog content twice a week for Geekplus.com
- Increase earned media presence by establishing relationships with press (trade publications and mainstream media)
- Leverage local network to increase audience at our Innovation Center events in Suwanee, GA
Travel to trade shows both nationally and in Latin America
Attend local meetings regularly for networking opportunities
Prepare presentations/speeches for sales leadership (speaking engagements)
Maintain relationships with and meet regularly (online) with Channel Partner marketing departments
Generate monthly reports that assess PR reach and channel partner progress
Required Experience/Skills
Great interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to maintain the organizations image and identity
Experience organizing and distributing digital content
Rapid writing and editing skills without using Chat GPT
Experience writing press releases
Experience with Hubspot or similar CMS
Basic photo editing skills (Photoshop, Canva or similar)
Experience in B2B marketing preferred
Native English speaker
Our team will be expanding to Latin America. Spanish speaking/writing skills are a plus.
