Assistant Marketing and Communications Manager , you will join a team dedicated to leading marketing and communications strategy for emerging transportation technologies, supporting research at Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center through content creation, team management, and collaboration with technical and client teams. Your work will support and promote cutting-edge advancements in intelligent transportation systems and automated vehicle technologies. Responsibilities Include: Develop and implement strategies to enhance and maintain the reputation and visibility of a suite of brands, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and values. Plan, execute, and manage campaigns from ideation to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and target audience engagement. Oversee and coordinate the internal and external flow of information within and between organizations to ensure consistent messaging. Develop and produce engaging and relevant content for digital and traditional platforms, tailored to target audiences and organizational objectives. Create and distribute valuable, relevant material to attract and engage target audiences and drive profitable customer action. Use web-enabled channels and technologies to promote products or services, reach target audiences, and achieve business objectives. Identify and cultivate potential customers or clients to generate interest and inquiries about products or services. Develop and implement communication strategies to promote products, services, or brands through different channels. Lead and coordinate project execution by defining objectives, creating a plan and timeline, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring overall success. Review written content for errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting to ensure accuracy and clarity before final publication or distribution. Manage and maintain positive correspondence between an organization and its stakeholders, including media, investors, and the community. Manage and leverage online media platforms to engage with audiences, promote brand awareness, and drive business objectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years or Master’s degree with 2+ years in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (which includes three years of immediate residency in the US). Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Extensive experience in leading communications strategy, planning, and campaigns, as well as managing teams of marketing and communications specialists. Solid understanding of branding and integrated marketing best practices, with the ability to deliver a cohesive vision across multiple projects. Expertise in creating innovative, audience-centered content tailored to diverse interests and behaviors. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across technical teams, proposal teams, portfolio leads, and clients. Strong strategic planning and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively. Broad experience in developing marketing and communications content for various platforms, with the ability to provide a professional portfolio. Proficient in planning and executing both in-person and virtual events. Experience in developing, tracking, visualizing, and reporting metrics to measure success. Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite. Thrives under pressure, meeting tight deadlines across multiple marketing and communications projects. Preferred Qualifications: Skilled in Adobe Workfront or other project management software. Advanced understanding or experience in the transportation industry, engineering, automated vehicle technologies, cooperative driving automation, intelligent transportation systems, or emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence. Proven experience in managing and delivering projects on time and within budget, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Experience as a Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act subject matter expert, ensuring content is compliant as it relates to accessible documents and electronic media. Anticipated Pay Range for the Role:

$85,000 - $105,000
