OVERVIEW Movement Strategy is seeking a Social Media Manager to manage and coordinate the publication of digital content across various social platforms. You will report to the Associate Director, Content & Engagement, or the Sr. Content & Engagement Manager and work closely with Creative Directors, Arts Directors, Copywriters, and Strategists. Movement Strategy is a full-service social media agency that’s been creating value for brands for over 15 years. We have 150+ employees who produce award-winning content for our partners, including Amazon, Netflix, Intuit, Warner Bros., and more. Last year, we were named the 2022 Small Agency of the Year at the Shorty Awards and are constantly pushing for the next big social media moment! The Social Media Manager will be responsible for ensuring that content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the client brand’s objectives. You will work closely with Content & Engagement Managers, Content Editors, Copywriters, Designers, and other relevant teams to ensure a seamless execution of an effective content publishing and engagement process. KEY FOCUS AREAS Content Coordination and Management: Collaborate with Engagement Managers, Content Editors, Copywriters, and other stakeholders to plan and organize the content publishing schedule. Review and edit content for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and style to ensure high-quality standards and ensure all content aligns with the company's branding guidelines, voice, and messaging. Community Management: Regularly engage with social media users across accounts’ social media platforms, support content sourcing, execute posting, and strategic community interactions, and serve as a liaison between client and community for specific customer service inquiries. Platform Management: Maintain channel best practices when publishing and updating content across client-specific platforms to optimize visibility and reach. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of content management systems, digital publishing tools, and related technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to content publishing. Content Formatting and Enhancement: Format content appropriately for online consumption, considering readability, visual appeal, and user experience, enhancing content with relevant images, videos, infographics, and other multimedia elements. Compliance and Copyright: Ensure that all published content adheres to copyright and intellectual property regulations, staying updated with industry trends, digital publishing best practices, and relevant legal requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Creative, Project Management, and Account teams to align content publishing with overall marketing strategies. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that published content is error-free and meets the highest quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS + KEY FOCUS AREAS 1-3+ years of experience, working with entertainment/brand clients, agency setting preferred Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field Proven experience in digital content publishing, content management, or a similar role Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques Proficiency in content management systems and basic image editing tools Excellent organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality content Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Flexibility working weekends, holidays, early mornings or evenings IDEAL QUALITIES Proactive and naturally curious about the digital and social space Passionate about the work and treat client’s business as if it were your own Create a positive and open environment when around others Unmatched attention to detail Diverse and inclusive perspective SALARY & COMPENSATION Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 Movement Strategy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
