Job Description
FOX6 News has a unique opportunity for a Morning News Anchor who has a knack for engaging the audience and presenting breaking news with authority and a bit of charm. As part of the WakeUp team, you will not be taking on a traditional role. You’ll be breaking stories and delivering impactful stories that our community relies on. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will drive the delivery of fresh local, regional, and national news content on-air and online. You will research, create, and present engaging stories that resonate with our audience. You will collaborate with newsroom staff to produce informative news segments. You will be energetic with an approachable on-air presence that makes mornings enjoyable for our viewers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
You’ll need a minimum of three years of anchoring experience - preferably on a morning newscast. You must have excellent journalistic instincts, a passion for news, and a high commitment to journalistic standards. Having expertise in leveraging online and social media in newsgathering and story development is a must. A journalism degree or a closely related degree is preferred. And finally, being a morning person is required!
