THE ROLE: ASSISTANT FASHION EDITOR

We’re looking for…

A fashion-savvy Assistant Fashion Editor who will ideate and curate relevant boutiques based on trends and concepts to support our latest inventory from apparel to luxury to accessories that drive revenue. The person in this role will also be involved in special projects for our Marketing & Social teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Help to execute company-curated events (from conception to completion)
• Manage the editorial calendar
• Organize event inspiration, recaps, and track franchise selling history
• Refresh Editorial Standing Shop assortments with fresh product
• Communicate with merchandising teams on sourcing and pointing product for company-curated events
• Provide ideas, images, stories, trends, and themes to Editorial weekly meetings
• Partner with Boutique Production to streamline Editorial process
• Maintain an annual pop culture & events calendar (keep track of ideas that could lend themselves to curated events e.g. TV shows, movies, music festivals, celebrity news, award shows etc.)
• Help to source stock images for boutique creative

• Constant exposure to all aspects of Rue La La & GILT business. Work closely with many of our amazing departments: Social, Programming, Planning, Boutique Production, Creative, and Marketing, and have the ability to learn from all of these teams!
• You will learn to be an expert in Excel, Tableau, and the intricacies of editorial e-commerce itself

About You:

• Minimum 3 years relevant editorial experience, with a background in fashion preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organization skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting rigorous deadlines
• Passion for product and superior taste level

ABOUT THE EDITORIAL TEAM:

Expected Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000

Our goal is to support, reward, and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include bonus/commission, stock options, 401(k) participation, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
