PUBLIC RELATIONS ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, MEDIA & ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGY
This position is remote, but requires regular on-site presence in the Los Angeles area.
KCSA Strategic Communications is seeking an Account Director of Public Relations within our Media & Advertising Technology PR practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the current media landscape as it relates to B2C communications in the media & advertising space. This person seamlessly manages projects and deadlines, has extensive media relations in the consumer entertainment space, and is a passionate leader of teams. This person deeply understands Share of Voice strategies and how to track media relations performance, providing insights and measurement of campaign effectiveness.
This role will work primarily with one client in the streaming TV sector.

Responsibilities:
- Co-lead one client account, serving as the main client point of contact and overseeing all timelines, deadlines, and projects.
- Ideate & execute impactful PR strategy.
- Draft key written documents, ensuring clear messaging and maintaining a high standard of writing.
- Regularly place client in the media using your substantial media relationships in the consumer technology space.
- Track overall campaign performance using SOV strategies.
- Develop and manage conference & awards strategies, maximizing exposure and networking opportunities.
- Lead the management of sponsored content partnerships.
- Cultivate and manage junior level staffers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5-8 years prior PR experience in the consumer technology/entertainment space.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with ability to take the lead on relevant projects.
- Experience managing junior team members.
- Substantial media contacts in the consumer entertainment space.
