The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority averaging 90 million unique viewers a month. Over the past 223 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

The New York Post Features Department is looking for a full-time Lifestyle Reporter (Monday – Friday 12pm – 8pm) with an uncanny ability to sniff out highly engaging stories on social media before they go viral. Topics might include an outrageous new TikTok challenge, a dishy Twitter thread or a heartwarming Facebook post.

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate a continuous stream of pitches off social media that will get readers clicking
  2. Deliver lively, well-written copy on deadline in a fast-paced newsroom
  3. Identify and secure the correct visual assets for maximum storytelling impact

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a digital reporter, ideally in a lifestyle/entertainment capacity
  2. Excellent news judgement, strong reporting skills and the ability to identify trending content before it pops
  3. Ability to find fresh and compelling ways into trending entertainment, lifestyle and human-interest stories that fit The Post brand
  4. A smart, lively writing style
  5. Proficiency in WordPress or similar CMS, Photoshop and web analytics preferred
  6. Some flexibility in scheduling, especially during awards and special events

Note: The NY Post has returned to office in a hybrid model.

Pay Range: $60,000.00 – $72,000.00
