Job Description

Set Design and Construction – BHS

Working with the director(s), design a set suitable for the space and meeting the needs of the production. Build/construct the necessary set pieces as well as paint and dress the set. Serve as a mentor to student builders and painters and keep track of the time that students work in the shop. Assemble the set as time is available and deconstruct/strike the set following the final performance. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring safety in the shop, ordering necessary materials, supervising student workers, organizing and cleaning shop area.
