The Probst Group has an exciting opportunity in our Design Department. We are looking for a Piping Designer to help support our customers and organization in the field of industrial wastewater and the creation of unique engineered solutions. The Probst Group was officially established in 2008, but our team members have been providing customized solutions tailored to the individual needs of each client for over 30+ years. We take pride in our extensive experience in industrial wastewater engineering and operations, which is unparalleled in the industry.

The Piping Designer is part of a team that is dedicated to creating technical drawings and designs used for various structures and systems, with a specialization in the industrial food and beverage wastewater sector. Using AutoCAD Plant 3D and other software programs, the Piping Designer will develop a wide range of designs to meet the specific requirements of the client's projects.

Expectations:

•Review equipment cutsheets and submittals

•Create process drawings utilizing Plant 3D smart PIDs, and 3D models with smart blocks to produce full wastewater treatment facility design packages

•Create construction revisions and as-built drawings

•Engage with internal and external partners to understand their needs, provide design solutions, and ensure client satisfaction. Address and resolve any design-related issues or concerns

•Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, discuss, and solve complex situations

•Manage multiple projects with varying deliverable priorities and deadlines

•Support the training and development of other Probst employees

•Participate in and support the improvement of current drafting processes

•Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

•Previous recent experience using AutoDesk Plant 3D

•High school diploma or GED

•3+ years of recent experience as a piping designer specializing in process piping in the wastewater or oil & gas industries

•Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite

•Adapts to changing work priorities and manages competing demands

•Ability to quickly learn to draft new prints and workflows

•High attention to detail

•Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

•Ability to meet deadlines

•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

•Ability to work out of the main Headquarters located in Hartland, WI

•Knowledge of piping support design
