Lifestyle Video Editor Job at Texas Association of Broadcasters in Weslaco

KRGV is looking for a Lifestyle Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to join the Take 5 team.

The applicant will play a crucial role in shaping the visual storytelling of our lifestyle segments. The editor will report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the producer and reporters.

This position is Full Time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit stories for the daily lifestyle show, Take 5.
• Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects.
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation.
• Improve video and sound quality using video software.
• Edit video to include music, interviews, sound clips, and other important aspects of the project.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in film editing or a related degree is preferred.
• Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs.
• Ability to multitask and work on various projects simultaneously.
• Creative experience in video editing.
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music, and transitions.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals.
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish is preferred.
