Position Title: Graphics Finisher

Location: St. Charles, MO

Primary Responsibilities:

A Graphics Finisher is responsible for the final stages of graphic production, ensuring that printed materials are completed to the highest quality standards. This role involves various tasks such as cutting, weeding, taping, mounting, laminating, and assembling printed materials. The Graphics Finisher works closely with the production team to ensure that all projects meet client specifications and deadlines.

  • Retrieve material and supplies per Manufacturing Order (MO).
  • Accurately cut and trim printed materials to specified sizes using cutting equipment.
  • Ensure all cuts are clean and precise.
  • Utilize the I-cut machine to cut graphics to shape.
  • Operate the laminating machine to apply laminate or pre-mask to graphics, as needed.
  • Ensure all components are correctly and securely assembled.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Correct any defects or imperfections to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain finishing equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
  • Work closely with the production team to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Communicate any issues or delays promptly to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Package items for shipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of finishing supplies.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use or to learn finishing equipment such as cutters, laminators, and mounting machines.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate well with others.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail providing accuracy and quality throughout job duties.
  • Ability to read measuring devices.
  • Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in graphic finishing or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical ability to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
  • Physically able to move and transport up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, grip and move fingers/hands.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection.
