Qualifications:

  1. Communications/public relations/journalism or related experience preferred.
  2. Proven experience and knowledge of website content creation and management preferred.
  3. Proven experience in social media management or a related field is preferred.
  4. Proven experience working with graphic design software/tools and photography/video editing tools to create high-quality visual content is preferred.
  5. Ability to work independently and with a team.
  6. Ability to think and work strategically and creatively.
  7. Strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to collegiality, confidentiality, accuracy and honesty.
  8. Strong attention to detail, highly organized and the proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Demonstrated interpersonal skills working well with colleagues, members of the school community including families, students and staff as well as the community at large.

Reports To: Communications Director

General Duties:

  1. Collaborate with Communications Director to develop and execute comprehensive digital communication strategies across all district platforms.
  2. Design and implement data-driven social media campaigns that strengthen community engagement and amplify the district's educational mission and support the Strategic Plan.
  3. Lead digital storytelling initiatives that showcase student achievement, educational innovation, and district excellence across multiple platforms.
  4. Manage and create dynamic content for the district website, mobile app, and social media channels using Finalsite CMS and other digital tools.
  5. Develop compelling visual content including graphics, photography and multimedia elements that reinforce district branding and increase stakeholder engagement.
  6. Maintain strict compliance with student privacy guidelines and media release protocols for all digital content.
  7. Optimize digital signage programming to effectively promote district and school events to the community.
  8. Build and maintain productive relationships with building principals and student organizations to identify and showcase educational achievements and activities.
  9. Partner with parent organizations (PTA, Academic Booster, Music Parent and Athletic Booster) to highlight community involvement and student success stories.
  10. Conduct regular website audits focusing on ADA compliance and accessibility standards, user experience optimization, brand consistency, as well as content relevance and accuracy.
  11. Ensure seamless integration and functionality between website and mobile app platforms.
  12. Monitor digital analytics to measure engagement and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
  13. Respond to urgent communication needs and support crisis communication efforts as needed.
