About the Role
We’re seeking a creative, strategic, and experienced Social Media Manager with a vision to grow our social media efforts and eventually build a high-performing team. You’ll lead the development of campaigns, foster connections with influencers, and ensure all content aligns with Cafeteria’s brand tone and voice.
Core Responsibilities
- Growth Campaigns: Design and implement innovative social media campaigns that inspire teen users and drive engagement.
- Audience Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase our social media following, with a focus on Gen Z audiences.
- Creative Leadership: Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce visually appealing, shareable content, including posts, videos, and motion designs.
- Team Development: Lay the foundation for a growing social media team, with plans to recruit and manage new members.
- Influencer Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with influencers, leveraging their networks to enhance brand awareness.
- Scheduling & Strategy: Create and manage a comprehensive social media calendar aligned with marketing goals.
- Analytics & Insights: Track performance metrics, analyze trends, and optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to the [cafeteria] tone, voice, and visual identity.
- Trend Awareness: Stay informed about social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
Pay Range
USD $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 /Yr.
About You
- You have proven experience in social media management, with a track record of designing and executing successful campaigns.
- You have management experience or a desire to lead and grow a team.
- You have proficiency in Figma and familiarity with video editing tools and motion design software.
- You have strong connections to influencers or the ability to establish them.
- You have excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice.
- You have a solid understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, etc.) and their analytics tools.
- You are highly organized and self-motivated, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
- Advanced video editing and motion design capabilities.
- Experience with influencer marketing platforms or tools.

We are NYC-based, currently operating remote. We have a strong preference for candidates in or near NYC, with the ability to meet in person periodically. Remote candidates will be considered, but the ability to operate in ET and collaborate in real time is a must.
